Bex chatted to Loud Women in the lead up to our first gig with them on the 11th August at The Hope and Anchor
1. Who would you most like to cover one of your songs?
Peaches. I love her electro punk style and I would love to hear her re-imagine one of our songs
2. If you could add one member to your band – any person, living or dead, musical or otherwise – who would it be, and what would they play?
Lemmy, so he could play bass and I could jump around the stage.
3. What was the last song you wrote, where were you when you came up with the idea, what inspired it, and how did it turn out?
The most recent song we wrote together is called ‘Cheap Meat’. It was born from a jam one band practice where I thought of a bass line and we just ran with it. Nick jumped in with some heavy floor tom beats and Pete pulled some creepy riff out of his guitar and that was that!
The lyrics are inspired by the mainstream media that put emphasis on how people look over and above anything else. I have a great vision for a music video but we need to record the song first!
